  1. Students will create a brochure (also referred to as a pamphlet)  Or create a document on Page. 
  2. Write to a state tourism office to request information like a brochure and map.
  3. Use the outline form to record information on their state.

Statehood Date, State Motto
Side One:
State Facts: Capital, Population, Area Nickname
Famous For Interesting places to visit
Side Two:
Two different types of maps.
Physical landform relief (Hand drawn or molded in clay)

Side Three Design a bar, line, circle or pie graph for the following topics:
Ethnic groups in population
Temperature  
Back Cover will include:
Bibliography of book sources
Bibliography of web sites
 Research using several of the following sites:

Geography

Where is Europe? Asia?

We located 7 continents and used our Social Studies Textbook  It was difficult to locate Antarctica since it is on the south pole. Then we looked for 5 oceans. It was challenging to find the 5th Ocean. It was close to the Continent Antarctica.  An inset was placed on our map. We choose between Mountains Around the World or Rivers Around the World.

    Place all 144 tiles face down on center of table. These tiles are referred to as the "BUNCH". For games of 2-4 people, each player takes 21 letters from the bunch, keeping them face down. For 5-6 players, 15 letters are taken. For 7-8 (or more) players, 11 letters are taken.
